The International Research Institute for Endogenous Development (IRIED) in Sri Lanka was established in 2007 with the objective to:

  1. conduct research on endogenous development;
  2. influence policies to support endogenous development;
  3. support Sri Lankan COMPAS partners in their endogenous development initiatives.

IRIED is a legally registered Trust administered by a Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees consists of the Sri Lankan COMPAS partners, invited trustees, and interested experts in Agriculture, Traditional Architecture, Astrology, Ayurveda, and Archaeology.
